  • Documenting patient progress daily and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Accurately bill for services provided in accordance to CMS guidelines
  • Supervise assistants, technicians, students
  • Opening communicate with case management to assist with throughput
  • Assess patients’ need and use devices such as crutches, walkers, wheelchairs or prostheses
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to maintain continuity of care and focus on patient goals
  • Maintain productivity standards

Minimum Experience: No previous experience
Preferred Experience: 1-2 years in acute care, Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Certification
Required Course(s)/Training: BS in Physical Therapy from an accredited university required as the minimum level of education.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  •  Physical Therapist looking to work in a state-of-the-art Hospital in their Inpatient Acute Rehab setting

  •  Work in the medication management clinic along with group therapy services. 

COMPENSATION

  •  Salary of $73,000-$95,000
  •  Sign on bonus of $5,000
  •  $25,000 Loan Repayment / Forgiveness Package
  •  Relocation expense up to $5,000
  • Up to 2 months furnished housing-based upon availability.

Duties and responsibilities:
Provision of physical therapy services to patients in Albuquerque and/or Santa Fe areas, collaboration with multidisciplinary team, timely and accurate clinical documentation, compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, involvement in agency committees as needed, communication with physicians and other providers, facilitation of communication with healthcare providers

Experience requirements:

  • Valid New Mexico Physical Therapy license
  • 1-year experience in home health preferred, but not required
  • Valid CPR/BLS
  • Familiarity with ICD-10, Medicare, and OASIS C-1 required
  • Highly developed computer-based skills (Mac, PC, Google Drive, Excel, EHRs, etc)
  • High level of comfort with smartphones, tablets, and other devices
  • Reliable transportation

Pay and Benefits:

  • Pay: commensurate with experience
  • PTO: 10 days the first year after 90-day probation.

Responsibilities:

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required.
  • Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
