Dr. McArthur specializes in the treatment of complex fractures including joint fractures and limb salvage. He also treats fracture complications such as nonunions (fractures that have failed to heal) and malunions (fractures that have healed in an abnormal position).

Dr. McArthur earned his undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico before going on to the Uniformed Services University for medical school. He completed orthopedic surgery residency at Rush University and his orthopedic traumatology fellowship at Penn State.

His research interests include the biomechanics of fracture fixation. He is a member of several orthopedic professional societies including AOA and OTA. He is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
