Shoulder

The shoulder joint allows for a wide range of motion and flexibility. Unfortunately, the versatility of this joint can make it prone to a variety of injuries. Damage to soft tissues that stabilize the shoulder plus degenerative conditions can create pain and inflammation. They can also limit range of motion and joint functionality.

If you are experiencing severe or chronic pain in your shoulder, see your physician. They may refer you to an orthopaedic specialist for further evaluation and treatment. For shoulder specifics, visit the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) website's Shoulder & Elbow section.
