Dr. Antony Kallur Antony is a board certified Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and the only fellowship trained Pediatric Spine Surgeon in New Mexico. He completed his medical school and orthopaedic residency in South India. Subsequently, he trained in the UK in pediatrics, spine, and joints. After moving to the United States, he successfully completed two fellowships: a spine fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City from 2008 to 2009, and a pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Alfred I. duPont Children's Hospital in Delaware from 2009 to 2010. Dr. Antony’s expertise is in spine deformity in children from various causes, adult deformity, and degenerative spine diseases. He is also trained in trauma and general pediatric orthopaedics. He hopes to establish a spine service at CTH which will cater to all the needs of children in our community. He would also like to take part in activities to raise awareness about scoliosis and general spine health.

Professional Memberships and Certifications

Dr. Antony is a volunteer surgeon and a member of various committees with the Foundation for Orthopaedics and Complex Spine (FOCOS), a charitable organization that helps spine patients in Africa. With Y's Men International, he volunteers both his time and talent to help patients belonging to tribal communities in India. Dr. Antony is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Scoliosis Research Society and North American Spine Society. He also belongs to the British and Indian Medical Associations.
