Dr. Gavin specializes in all foot and ankle disorders with strong interests in sports-related injuries, arthroscopy of the foot and ankle, soft tissue and bony reconstructive surgery, total ankle replacements, arthritis, cartilage restoration, bunion and claw toes and fractures about the foot and ankle.

Originally from Minnesota, Dr. Gavin’s undergraduate education was at Augsburg College in Minneapolis where she received a bachelor in science degree in biology. She went on to medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University New Mexico in Albuquerque. She went on to complete a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Rush University in Chicago, ranked as one of the top five orthopaedic programs in the nation.

In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Gavin has specific research interests in endocrine associated tendon pathology, patient outcomes, and quality improvement as well as a strong commitment to community outreach, global health, and resident education.

She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), and is an emerging leader with the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA).
