Dr. Decker specializes in the treatment of a wide spectrum of arthritic disorders of the hip and knee, including osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis, rheumatoid and other forms of inflammatory arthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, hip dysplasia and other forms of joint deformity and pain.  His surgical specialties include primary total hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacements, complex revision total hip and knee replacement, hip and knee periprosthetic fractures, and treatment of infections of hip and knee replacements.

Dr. Decker completed his medical education at the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL. He went on to complete his residency training at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. Following residency, he completed a clinical fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. 

Dr. Decker also completed his Masters of Science in Surgery at Western University, with his research focusing on the in vivo property changes of polyethylene in total hip arthroplasty. Dr. Decker has interest in both clinical and basic science research. His interests include the long-term in vivo behavior of polyethylene in total hip and total knee arthroplasty, treatment and outcomes of periprosthetic hip and knee infections, the utility and cost-effectiveness of navigated and robotic-assisted total joint arthroplasty, and improving value and quality of care delivery in total joint arthroplasty. Dr. Decker is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). He is also an American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) Emerging Leader.
