Elbow Specialists

The elbow joint is a hinge joint located in the middle of the arm that also allows for rotation of the forearm and flexion and extension of the joint. A number of things can cause the elbow to hurt including damage to the joint surfaces or the soft tissues that surround and control them. For elbow specifics, visit the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) website's Shoulder & Elbow section.

If you are experiencing severe or chronic pain in your elbow, see your physician. They may refer you to an orthopaedic specialist for further evaluation and treatment.
