After completing his orthopaedic residency in 2006, Dr. Modhia remained in India to work as an Assistant Professor in Orthopaedics until 2010. He moved to the United States in 2011 to obtain further specialty training in spine surgery, orthopaedic trauma and pediatric orthopaedics. He completed his spine surgery fellowship at the University of California San Francisco in 2012, his orthopaedic trauma fellowship at the University of New Mexico in 2013 and his pediatric orthopedic fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore in 2014.

Dr. Modhia is a member of the North American Spine Society, the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. In addition to serving as a faculty member at the UNM School of Medicine, Dr. Modhia also practices at UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center.

In his free time, Dr. Modhia enjoys hiking, bicycling and spending quality time with his family. Dr. Modhia is an enthusiastic and compassionate provider who enjoys helping others.
