About Us

selinaThe University of New Mexico's Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation includes nearly 40 faculty members, including Physical Therapists; more than 25 orthopaedic surgeons25 residents; and 5 fellows, including specialists in hand (2), sports injuries (2), and trauma (1). We also have New Mexico's only orthopaedic surgeons specializing in musculoskeletal oncology and pediatric orthopaedic surgery. In addition, our facility serves as the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the State of New Mexico.

We are dedicated to providing outstanding medical care, educating health care professionals, and advancing the field of orthopaedics through research. Our faculty ensures that future medical professionals are trained in cutting-edge orthopaedic practices and stay current through continuous learning.
